Voice To The Voiceless
STOP KILLING ANIMALS FOR FUR!!!
I am a single father of a 17 year old girl. Last week she came up to me and said to look up factory farms on the internet... so I did. The things we saw were so disgusting that we both changed the entire way we live our lives. We both became instant vegan/vegetarians, and are trying to be conscious about everything we do. We both realized that we need to make a difference in any way we can. We decided to create a Voice To The Voiceless.
The voiceless include the poor, the sick, the grieving, the marginalized, the ignored, the hidden, the abused, the minorities etc
We ended up watching videos and doing as much online research as we could. The truth was staring us in the face. The world is in trouble. Not the political kind of trouble that gets portrayed in the media, but a real life threatening kind of trouble. We have destroyed our air and water, as well as exploited every aspect of this planet and it's inhabitants. We both knew and know that it is really hopeless. The situation now is that we have failed as a species. We had no idea the extent of the damage until last week. So there we were, full of all this knew information... but what were we going to do? Were we going to figure out a way to save something that is beyond fixing? Or is the planet worth a last ditch effort and do our best to save what we can? We decided to tell the world what we found out. We instantly both stopped eating meat and meat by products right away. We have become as conscious as we can to learn where the things we use comes from, and find out what effects it has on the environment and on people. We feel that we can make a difference and help do some good for a change, instead of sitting around pretending it isn't happening.
So many gods, so many creeds, So many paths that wind and wind, While just the art of being kind Is all the sad world needs. I am the voice of the voiceless:
Through me, the dumb shall speak; Till the deaf world’s ear be made to hear
The cry of the wordless weak. From street, from cage and from kennel, From jungle, and stall, the wail Of my tortured kin proclaims the sin Of the mighty against the frail For love is the true religion, And love is the law sublime; And all is wrought, where love is not Will die at the touch of tie-On shame on the mothers of mortals Who have not stopped to teach Of the sorrow that lies in dear, dumb eyes, The sorrow that has no speech. The same Power formed the sparrow That fashioned man-the King; The God of the whole gave a living soul
To furred and to feathered thing. And I am my brother’s keeper, And I will fight his fight; And speak the word for beast and bird Till the world shall set things right.
You can go to YOUTUBE and look up all of these topics and get all kinds of interesting videos to watch. We think that by posting videos on our site we can show you specific things that we have found that have changed our lives forever. If the content of the videos makes you feel uneasy or sick then donate to a cause and help save lives.
Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is:  "Because the animals are like us."  Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is:  "Because the animals are not like us."  Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction.  ~Charles R. Magel

We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.  ~William Ralph Inge, Outspoken Essays, 1922

Michael W. Fox, vice-president of the Humane Society, said that, "to call an animal with whom you share your life a 'pet,' is reminiscent of men's magazines where you (a figure of speech, don't take it personally) have the Pet of the Month."  It is supposed that the continued use of the word "pet" to designate dogs or cats threatens to reduce their level of respect to the current status of twentieth century North American women.  Now that's radical.  ~The McGill Red Herring
Whether hunting is right or wrong, a spiritual experience, or an outlet for the killer instinct, one thing it is not is a sport.  Sport is when individuals or teams compete against each other under equal circumstances to determine who is better at a given game or endeavor.  Hunting will be a sport when deer, elk, bears, and ducks are... given 12-gauge shotguns.  Bet we'd see a lot fewer drunk yahoos (live ones, anyway) in the woods if that happened.  ~R. Lerner, letter, Sierra, March-April 1991
Man is the only creature that consumes without producing.  He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits.  Yet he is lord of all the animals.  ~George Orwell, Animal Farm
I had bought two male chimps from a primate colony in Holland.  They lived next to each other in separate cages for several months before I used one as a [heart] donor.  When we put him to sleep in his cage in preparation for the operation, he chattered and cried incessantly.  We attached no significance to this, but it must have made a great impression on his companion, for when we removed the body to the operating room, the other chimp wept bitterly and was inconsolable for days.  The incident made a deep impression on me.  I vowed never again to experiment with such sensitive creatures.  ~Christian Barnard, surgeon
The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather, "Can they suffer?"  ~Jeremy Bentham

Cows are amongst the gentlest of breathing creatures; none show more passionate tenderness to their young when deprived of them; ~Thomas de Quincey
